Retiro Retratos (Retaken Pictures) is a collaborative interactive documentary produced over the course of a 6-day hackathon in São Paulo, Brazil, coordinated by Estudio CRUA in partnership with Oficina Cultural Oswald de Andrade.

20 participants made this film about “Bom Retiro”, a neighbourhood in SãoPaulo that over the centuries has been the house of migrants and immigrants. Nowadays, while facing gentrification and its risks, the region is still a place where social and artistic resistance movements get together.
